In 1862, the production engineer Mr. Donat Fyodor Grigorievich founded the joint-stock company “Leninska Kuznya”. It was a mechanical and iron works factory and from the beginning the factory was privately owned with the management of the business being carried out by the founders. 1868: Within a short period of time the metal structures of a new bridge over the Dnieper were manufactured, and it was carried out under the supervision of the well-known Russian engineer Mr. Struve. 1889: Reorganization into a company called "Kiev Machine-Building Plant" of the association "Donut and Lipkovsky and Partners". 1895: Transfer of ownership of the joint-stock company “Machinery Manufacturing Plant in Southern Russia”. 1924: "South Russian Machine-Building Plant" is renamed "Leninska Kuznya" by decree of Kiev Regional Executive Committee. 1928: Decree of the Supreme Soviet of Ukraine on the following matters: the regulation of river shipbuilding in Ukraine, "Leninska Kuznya" is specialized in this branch of industry, and the development of the shipyard. 1928: The shipyard is located on the left side of the Dnieper River, on the Rybalski Peninsula. 1931: The first fully welded 150hp tugboat is launched. 1932: Construction of 300 hp river tugs with our own steam valve engine on board begins. 1934: Construction of 400-horsepower river locomotives begins. Post-war period: construction of bulldozers with a production capacity of 250 m / hr, passenger ships of 400 hp, tugboats and self-propelled bulldozers. 1954-1962: The construction of 800 hp middle class frozen fishing vessels, multi-shovel dredgers and dry cargo ships with a load carrying capacity of 400-600 tons begins. The machinery building sector accounts for a high proportion of our overall production range. We manufacture a wide range of boiler units, pumps, chemical industry equipment, controllable regression fans and freezing technology. 1986: Great scope of work to remove the consequences after the explosion at the Chernobyl Atomic Energy Station. 1995: Change of ownership, creation of an open joint stock company called “Leninska Kuznya” Plant.
