GOLDEN GATES Theater

The theater was established by the Ukrainian Ministry of Culture in 1980 as a theater of poetry, but it is named after the ancient Russian architectural monument "The Golden Gates", where the high-level performance "The Golden Gates" was represented after a historical poem by L. Gorlach.

So for the first time in local theater, the art of drama has been successfully merged with the art of historical architecture.

Having mastered the unique art of figurative beauty, suggested by the chief director, honoring the art worker of Ukraine Valery Patsunov, and relying on the masterpieces of world drama, the theater staff won several times in the All-Ukrainian, All-Union and International theater festivals.

The metaphorical theatrical trend providing blinding stagnation, portability, poetry and music combined with live scenography and high acting skills promoted the development of the 'golden gates' to the European level.
