André Tan

André Tan, successful original designer and inventor of the Smart Couture style, is an interesting person not only in the fashion world, but also has an interesting biography.

The future fashion designer realized from his childhood that success consisted of only 1% of talent and 99% of work. At the age of eleven, while his buddies were kicking a ball in the yard, Tan was proficient in ABC's making clothes. After attending the clothing-making courses for the first time, the boy really surprised the teachers: "Maybe I have come to pick up your mother or sister?" Tan has never been seen before or after such a young man participating in training sessions.

He had a passionate dream, the boy dreamed of an editor in the fashion magazine “Isabel” and for two years he was drawing more than 50 school notebooks and drawing drawings for his future release. Fortunately Andre did not become a journalist or fashion critic, and another fate awaited him. He creates clothes, which have become the admiration and desire of fashion merchants of different ages - from first-class girls to their grandmothers.

The history of the creation of the first group will remain in Andre Tan's memory throughout his life. "I was broke, the models I knew agreed to buy the clothes with their own money and walk the runway, and I, in turn, gave them the best dresses," - recalls the designer.

Subsequently, Tan won a large number of awards, one of which - the Grand Prix of the competition “10 õ 10” - he received from the hands of Paco Rabanne. He then obtained an internship at “Hugo Boss” and a scholarship to study at St. Martins College of Art (London); Tan created a lot of successful combos, garnered a bunch of great reviews and unconditionally won the Ukrainian audience.
