Located in the heart of Mukacheve Old Town, the Star Hotel was once the family of the Austro-Hungarian Count von Schönborn. Its location offers beautiful views of the charming old town and its main square, and everything has been done to ensure guests' comfort: European design, impeccable service, great cuisine and a wide range of additional services on offer. The first and most important hotel in Mukacheve - Czillag (Hungarian for "star") - was built at the end of the 18th century by the von Schoenborn family, the Austro-Hungarian aristocracy to replace an old pub. For centuries, Chilaj was the only center of social and cultural life in this historic old city. Often guests notice the impressive ballroom, the impressive terrace, and the cozy rooms. Beginning in 1902, the Chilaj cinema began to attract the attention of locals, with most of them snapping some of the first motion pictures shown in the city at the hotel. Finally, City Casino also has a long and deep relationship with Czillag. It was the splendid architecture and spirit of the Star Hotel, as it is known today, and it remains one of Mukachev's most famous landmarks - a landmark often used in depicting this attractive Transcarpathian city.
