The history of the Olympic movement in Ukraine began in 1952 when Ukrainian athletes participated in the 15th Olympic Games in Helsinki as part of the Soviet Union team for the first time.

The Ukrainian Olympic Committee operates in accordance with the provisions of the Olympic Charter, the Ukrainian Constitution, and Ukrainian legislation and laws.

The main tasks of the National Oil Center of Ukraine are:
? To enhance the preparation and participation of athletes in the Olympic Games;
? To develop international cooperation;
? To spread popular sports and healthy lifestyle; ? To enrich people materially and spiritually.
