![]() Ukrainian amber
Amber resources in Ukraine were explored for a long time, but official mining was approved in 1991. In the same year “Osnova” trade cooperation association was established, which was later renamed the company. Otherwise, it would not have been able to provide the necessary facilities to treat such a national wealth of our country as amber. For this reason, in February 1993, due to the decree of the President of Ukraine, the state institution “Ukrainian Amber” was created. It consists of three mining fields located in the north of the region. The fourth center is located in Rivne and specializes in processing raw amber into jewelery. In 2001 this project was restructured into two daughter companies “Amber” with head office in Rivne and “Amber Mines” with head office in Sarny, Rivne region. At present, industrial amber is mined in a small number of pits in the Sarni, Dobrovicia and Volodymyr regions with an average yield of more than 3 tons per year. Permanent investments in engineering, machinery and technical equipment make amber mining easier and increase its production. At present, the state enterprise “Ukrainian amber” was finally formed in November 2005, and it is the largest institution for extraction of amber in large dimensions with its enormous resources, and it comes second after Kaliningrad (Russian Federation). We have now done much, much more to do so please feel free to offer you our cooperation. Phone: +380 362 620 645 94 Kievska Street,
