The history of the Kostopil glass factory begins from the beginning of the twentieth century. In mid-1913 he created a Polish glass jota box that was making large bottles of different capacities and glass lamps for kerosene lamps. After World War II in 1946, the glass factory began its business again, manufacturing the same jobs. In 1962, the plant was operating under the authority of Lviv Radnargosp (Central Administrative Board of Electronic Industry). At that time, construction of 2 workshop was started with two glass melting furnaces to produce insulators and lamps for electronic lamps. In 1972, in the WAS3 workshop, tools made of glass and thermo discs were mastered. With the development of scientific industries, there were requirements for new types of products and that is why Workshop 4 was built to manufacture glass liners for integrated circuits. To achieve this purpose, the glass composition material manufacturing workshop was also purchased from the USA. The summit of plant development was reached in 1980, when the enterprise was making unique products for the radio electronic industry, as well as home appliances. At the Kostopil glass plant there were about 3,300 people working. With the dissolution of the Soviet Union and changes in the circulating strategy of an independent Ukraine, there was a decline and a halt for most production. The company has mastered the manufacture of around 200 different types of glass containers as well for such well-known brands as “Nemiroff”, “Khortycya”, “Olymp”, “Slavutych”, “Soyuz-Viktan” and “Chill”. All finished products are kept in the storage premises. The remarkable improvement in the quality of glass containers allowed for container export shipments to be made to Russia, Moldova, Belarus, Latvia, Poland, Germany, etc. Close cooperation with clients; Directing production to meet their requirements allowed Kostopil Glass Works to find itself on the Ukrainian market among the first five domestic manufacturers of glass containers. Our enterprise group is rapidly developing. We are engaged in research and recruitment to work on the production of highly skilled professionals (glass forming machine operators and mechanics); Organize their preparation in both Kostopil Glass Works and in Kostopil Technical School.
