Kyiv Law University (KUL) is the successor to the High School of Law attached to the Kuritsky Institute of State and Law of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine. Its activity concept is based on the integration of legal education and basic theoretical research in the field.

Teachers of personal disciplines are prominent scientists of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, and among them there is one academic, although there are four members - correspondents of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, 20 Doctors of Science, more than 60 science candidates, readers and assistant teachers.

With much teaching experience, scholars aspire to pass on their knowledge to the younger generation. This was the method of practical realization of the idea of establishing a higher education institution where there is a real possibility to obtain knowledge and experience with the help of a new form of study based on basic sciences and optimal education.

The President of Kyiv Law University of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine is Boshytskiy Uriy Ladyslavovych, Jurisprudence Candidate, Professor. The office of the Vice-Chancellor for Studies is Svetlana Vasilievna Dubrovnik, Jurisprudence Candidate, Professor. The Honorary Dean of the Kyiv Law University of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine is an Academician of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine and the Academy of Legal Sciences of Ukraine Shimchuchenko Uri Sergeyovich - brilliant scholar and organizer of jurisprudence in Ukraine.

The university has eight departments headed by top scientists, clinicians, and science candidates. In 2001 the Military Department was opened for military training for our students who could be accepted into the "Reserve Officer" program.

Subdivisions of the university were established in Uzhhorod, Simferopol and Rivne. It provides first and second higher education.

Kyiv Law University of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine trains highly qualified lawyers for state and law enforcement agencies, in scientific fields and marketing economics. The fourth-level accreditation gives the opportunity to obtain a bachelor's degree, specialization and a master's diploma of the country style.
