JSC “Dniepropetrovsk Steel Works Comintern” was founded in May 1994 on the basis of a plant built in 1899 as a project of the joint Belgian company of Russian pipe-rolling mills by Cheaudoir Brothers to produce roofing, corrugated rollers, plates and spade steel. In 1903 the business produced 480,000 pounds of roofing and 50,000 pounds of galvanized sheet metal. During 1902 and 1914, initial works were developed: 1904 - الألواح 4 plate mill was built, 1908 - 5 plate mill was commissioned, 1909 - spade workshop was built, 1914 - canning production was established. After the country's constitutional order was changed, in 1922 the business was renamed Comintern Steel Works. The amalgamation of the “Sirius” plant and the Lange mining plant into Comintern delineated contemporary territorial boundaries, and the business was put into an open heart and sort-of roll. The project is located on the left bank of the Dnieper River, the plant covers an area of 90 hectares, is compactly located within the boundaries of the city of Dnipropetrovsk, adjacent to the city trade terminal “Nyzhnednieprovsk - Prystan” and the river port that shares a river and seawater transportation, and the favorable communication of central roads provides easy access to Business. On August 10, 1941, the evacuation of work equipment and specialists to Ural began, and on August 18 the final dissolution of the open heart workshop occurred. Restoration work began in November 1943 and by February the plant was built to pre-war sizes, with the exception of open core production which has not been restored.
