Open joint stock company “Kharkov Robb Plant” is one of the oldest light industry companies. It was founded in 1890 to make hemp and rope. The plant has all kinds of equipment for twisted and braided production. As for the manufacturer of indicators of quality and assortment, it has, as well as now, gained priority in the branch in the former USSR and now also among the countries of the CIS. Our factory for decades has supplied core wire production companies to produce steel ropes (Magnitogorsk, Orel, Volgograd, Odessa, Khartsyzk and other cities). Our ropes have been used in the fleets of the Far East, North, Black Sea and Baltic Sea to equip ships, trade and fishing as well as military. About 30% of the total thread production was exported to Central Asia. During 1994-1995 the plant digested the Western European market. Today OJSC “Kharkov Rope Plant” is a large-scale large-scale enterprise, which operates stably and has great potential for further development. The total plant area constitutes 19.6 hectares of land. There is a state law for the right to permanent use. The industrial areas of the factory constitute 44.6 thousand square meters, the auxiliary areas constitute 5.6 thousand, and the warehouse areas - 10.7 thousand square meters. The Southern Railway Railway to Ukraine is located in the territory of the Kharkov Rope Factory. In order to stabilize the financial situation in the plant, organizational technical arrangements have been developed and implemented. The “Kharkov Rope Factory” was established on the base of the OJSC “Kharkov Rope Factory”. The concern includes all hemp processing companies in Ukraine, which process hemp and produce hemp fiber; And also the Gluhov Institute for Research of Bast Cultures as an initial stage to create an economic financial group, which has a complete production cycle.
